It's been several years since I last purchased any video equipment (tv,
vcr, etc.). I've never owned a DVD player unless you want to count my
DVD-ROM drive.
I've been looking online for a DVD player and I'm having trouble trying
to figure out if they're compatible with my TV setup. My TV is several
years old and has a (RF?) coaxial cable input as well as two audio
terminals and one video terminal on the back that use the RCA type
plugs.
My incoming cable is connected to the cable box input, the cable box
output is connected to the VCR input, the VCR output is then connected
to the TV input. All my connections, equipment, etc. is analog.
When purchasing a DVD player, what kind of hookup/cable/connection
should I be looking for? If it has a digital coaxial output, can I use
it with regular (analog) coxial cables and connections? I'm guessing
that I would need an RF Modulator, is this correnct?
