Could anyone tell me what brand(s) of DVD players you think are good?
I've been looking at Panasonics but it appears most of them have a
problem with the motor causing the H07/H02 (or whatever) errors. The
stores around here don't carry many choices of brands and I hate
ordering something like that online because I know that some of the
postal/delivery workers mishandle the stuff, especially around here.
The number one brand I'm looking at is Sony even though I should be
boycotting them for that crap they pulled with those DRM CDs. Some
other brands I'm considering are Pioneer (but I don't think the stores
carry that), Samsung, Philips, and HItachi. I'm really not happy with
any of the choices. I want a DVD player that will last at least five
years under normal use. Unfortunately, I think companies make them to
last one year. It's really sad, my 1975 RCA TV still works. Can't say
the same for that 1999 Toshiba TV that died in less than a year. Now
I'm depressed.
But anyway, has anyone has a problem with one of these brands within
the last 2-3 years? Does anyone know if there are any problems with
them like there are with the Panasonic motors?
