I have a Philips player that is supposedly "Divx Hardware Approved"
according to the Divx site.
I also have Divx 6.03 installed. However, I can see the Divx video yet I
get no audio. Philips had a firmware update which I did to the player but
it didn't do anything to get the audio to work with the Divx movie. I plays
fine in all the computers, just not the Divx approved Philips player.
Maybe it was approved for version 5? Didn't see anything anywhere, box or
instructions, regarding the newer version 6 codec. Dunno, but it is odd -
and a bit annoying. I know there are problems with the latest version of 6
where it will keep Auto Gordian Knot form opening (a patch has been made to
the Divx.dll in the Windows System32 folder to correct the failure of AutoGK
to open.
