The only way I've been able to verify available space is to start a
recording session. The remaining time available on the HD is displayed
in the gray display bar at the top of the screen. I've got a question
for you. How is the quality of video through the recorder. Mine seems
less sharp even using S video than I would expect with a greenish hue.
Store bought or rental DVDs look great but home recorded stuff looks
slightly dull.
