Yes, you can buy Dual Layer discs, but if your drive doesn't burn
them, you'll have to upgrade the drive. Plus the blanks are $2 each
when on sale.
best bet when copying from DVD9 to DVD5, copy only the movie, instead
of the whole DVD. Also weed out any unwanted audio tracks and
subtitles. What I sometimes do with DVD Shrink is strip out all the
uneeded audio and subtitles, and compress the extras more, and the
movie less. That way the movie looks the best that it can.
