I took the Liteon back to Costco and got the Panasonic ES-20.
Unfortumently Costco didn't carry it so I bought it at Best Buy.
World of difference. Better picture Quality, doesn't have problems
with -R or +R disks, although I only tried a couple.
One really nice feature is that if finalizes the disk to be DVD-V
and they will play on any player. I tested this on my daughters
portable DVD player that will not play +R, and would not play +R
finalized on the Liteon, but will play the +R finalized on the Panasonic.
This means I can use the +R media to copy my old home videos.
