as i said (above), the ES10 cost me $180.
does your new ES20 write to DVD-RW and/or
DVD+RW and/or DVD-RAM? the ES10 i just got
does -RW and -RAM, but only reads +RW

of the 3, the DVD-RAM have the most convenience,
but cost 3x as much (at Wal-Mart; not a fair
comparison, given that the quantity was 15 for
the -RW vs. 3 for the -RAM)

what did you pay for the ES20?

agreed on everything

fwiw, aside from the annoying "small" issues,
the biggie for me was that the Lite-On 5115
doesn't see DTS digital audio encoding that
is now showing up on more recent new big budget
movies (for 5.1 surround; it is audiably superior
to the best Dolby Digital 5.1 surround)
