No, they failed even before I labeled them(!) I have never
applied a stick-on label to a DVD, handwritten or printed
only. Rember that the data layer of DVD discs is sandwiched
between two rather thick pieces of polycarbonate. It is
virtually impossible to affect the data layer by doing
anything to the top (label) surface. (Short of cracking the
whole disc, etc.) Of course labels causing the disc to
imbalance at high RPMs are a different matter and that is
the reason I avoid stick-on labels on DVDs.
Many discs appear to be manufactured by some special
process from pure fecal material. Dunno how they get it
to look like polycarbonate? See the "C list" and "D list"
