I'm not sure about Night Court, but several shows of that time frame did not
have residuals for the actors! The actors got paid for their performance
and that was it! Some did some didn't, they sure didn't get the outrageous
residual sums of todays "stars." I certainly hope that isn't going to be a
problem for night court. I have waited years and years for them to come out
with them either on DVD or years ago on VHS. You have a point though, even
if the actors don't get residuals its possible Torme had that in his
contract, I hope not, or at the very least I hope that won't be a sticking
point. I would assume they would just get a piece of every unit sold.
Anyway, think I'm going to start recording off of TVLAND, DVD-Rs are cheap
enough I can always toss them if the season sets come out. Was hoping to
avoid doing this though. :-(
