Setting it to "No speakers" or "Desktop speakers" should work. Either
way, it will use line-level output (desktop speakers would be
self-powered, so it's six of one, half dozen of the other). You
should open the Volume Control program and make sure the Wave and main
balances are centered and their volumes turned to maximum, though, so
that the volume will be controlled by the receiver, acting on the full
signal from the sound card.
