I thought all those cameras (certainly the PD150 and I think the 170) have
limiters even if you switch to manual mode.
I seem to remember seeing it on circuit diagram somewhere.
So even if AGC is off if you give it too much it will limit.
If this limit is set to be just before the digital clip point it's not an
issue.
