Hiya Nap
I am being thruthful. Just my experience. My experience is in and around
London not LA.
Of course I understand that PCs are used in Music Studios but the point was
in some areas such as music production Macs have a greater penetratation
than their overall market penetration of 5%-ish. Why that is I don't know
'cause until recently Macs were shit.
Now that Apple builds PCs and I can run Windows, my library of Windows
software, as well as Shake, Motion and DVD Studio my own personal opinion
and based on the work I do, I reckon an Apple PC is a pretty good option.
Apple branded Laptop PCs don't appear anymore expensive than from a quality
PC box shifter.
I need a new laptop so I'm going after a 17" Apple when it arrives to test
the water so to speak.
I am also considering putting together a Mac Mini render-farm running
Windows. Their size and relatively good processing power means I can clear
out some of my ageing PCs and regain some space. You can pack a lot of them
in a cupboard!!
