All Mac users are not zealots. Prefering one platform over another
does not make you a zealot unless you want to trash the other guys all
the time. If you're looking for a zealot, look in the mirror.
Apple's "giving in" is an accommodation to the large installed-base of
an admittedly inferior operating system. Since they were switching to
Intel chips anyway it was also largely a matter of "well why not?"
Even the editor of PC magazine was surprised and impressed by both OS X
and Linux (Sept. 2005) so now, Apple has a chance to show it's wares to
a lot more users.
I trust there will be plenty of hackers running OS X on a PC of
course...fancy that.
