Yep, the "built in" character generator is just level 1.
Level 2 is uncovered by looking in the Video Generators tab and select
the "Boris" folder. It's a subset the Boris titling plug ins. Give you
access to more if you want to add them too.
Level 3 is LiveType - the free standalone titling program included with
Studio. It's unique in that every character in it's special fonts is
it's own unique Quicktime movie, so creating annimated type that does
things like freezing, burning, morphing, whatever over time is as simple
as typing and applying the annimated effect. Very cool and very quick
and powerful.
This stuff is ALL in the manual, btw.
