I never said its a "Hacked" box. They all work the same. Do a
"Factory" reset on it and enter the info again. Then shut it off.
Restart it...does it hold the info now? Factory Bin files ARE
available, get a copy of it and reload it if it still fails the test.
I doubt it uses a battery or super-cap to hold the info. Most
of them use a EEPROM. A EEPROM is non-volatile.It will
hold the info without power.
The fact it runs normal until you reboot it, usually indicates
the data in the EEPROM is corrupt somewhere and the
processor cant boot, so it blows the EEPROM clean and
fires up from the data in a default PROM.
