FCP has a very nice Voice over Tool.
Set your play head to the area you want to add the voice over too.
Target the track.
Select Tools->Voice Over.
This brings up a nice tool, in which you can use any Mic, USB Mic, or
even your laptop builtin to place down a VO track.
Press record, and it provides a count down to start talking.
