Whats the superior format? I watched the wedding that I taped yesterday
again. The quality appears to be similiar to the old and large VHS camcorder
that I borrowed in 1999 for my trip to New York.
In 2001 I used a Sony 8mm (I verified that the tapes were 8mm just know)
camcorder, and perhaps it was the Sony brand, but the quality appeared to be
a bit sharper, and the audio a bit louder.
Was this because 8mm is superior to VHS-C, or that Sony is a better maker of
camcorders? The camcorder I have know, and the one I used in 2001, look to
be identical in features and size. The main difference is the brand of tape
they use. So my guess would be that the JVC camcorder I have know ran around
$700 in 2001.
