From what I've read, the Toshiba has to be connected to the Net for
time sync (why?) and for firmware updates, and, according to the Toshiba
website, for other reasons (as I recall). Sod-off springs to mind here.
Oh, and although region coding doesn't appear to be enforced/in place
for HD-DVDs, it is for good ol' SD-DVDs. Utter Tosh, perhaps.
Not something that I'll be buying.
