Could be that the VCR and decoder are sharing the same channel and
interfering with each other. Although the setting to change has been
available in most VCRs for years, it is only recently with the proliferation
of boxes in peoples living rooms that it has been necessary to change it
I am off out now but the channel number 63 springs to mind - try changing
this in the VCR set-up
