right, they have dock connectors. apple sells a firewire docking cable
(previously included) and third parties make both firewire 400 and 800
cables. the dock connector has not changed and the cables still fit.
the only issue is that the nanos or ipod with video will not transfer
any music over firewire - just usb. however, the ipods will charge on
firewire, and possibly even faster because firewire can source more
power than usb can, although i've never timed it.

yes they do and it is $19. they also still list the firewire power
adapter for $29.
