Sheesh! I checked the specs before, and didn't see anything about
firewire connectors for the dock or for the iPod, but after reading your
message, I checked the Apple Store (which I guess that I should have
done the first time) and surely enough, there it is.
But since it is, as you pointed out, good only for powering the current
model iPods, and not for downloading content to them, I can't justify
the cost to get it for my Nano, especially since I'd have to buy a dock
also.
