Well... the replacements for the iPod Photo are 900mAh, for the 1st and
2nd gen, they're up to 2200mAh (giving 20hr runtime).
I'm guessing the factory battery will be between 1500 and 1800mAh. 3.7v.
So, maybe three AAs would give the same runtime as the internal battery,
depending on voltage regulation. Optimised, I'd expect an iPod designed
to carry 3 AA cells would run for that time.
Of course, we can get a rough idea from the Belkin AA Battery box, but I
can't find any runtimes for it.
