The player is small and robust. I have my entire music library (and some
video, and my contacts and caldendars) in my pocket, and can also upload
the files from my digital camera. It plus into my car stereo (well, it
would, but Mazda changed the firmware so I await a new interface). It
wasn't that expensive compared to the number of MP3 CDs I'd need to buy
and burn to carry my music with me. I've got a waterproof housing,
bike-mount clips (it won't skip, unlike a cheap portable CD player). It
plays MP3 files, so I can use both; my library is largely imported as
MP3 (and I can convert what isn't MP3) so when I want an MP3 CD for my
other car, iTunes will handle it nicely.
I always have access to every bit of music I own.
