Well, *yeah* COBY sucks. Why are you using 5.1 audio out anyway?
There are DVD players from Sony, Toshiba, Memorex, Philips, etc. that are
under $100 and work as well or better than most of the first DVD players.
All of these have progressive scan as well.
There's a Samsung available for under $100 that can do HD upconvert and can
play JPEG, WMA, MP3, and Divx.
