wood from renovations burns too quickly. apple gum (local eucalypt) has
more knots than a macramed shawl... maybe i'll come over and stay with
you for the winter....

i'm so tired of explaining to students why they shouldn't save a few
bucks by recording in lp, use effects (to save 'time' in post), and
trying to make them understand that shooting 16:9 is NO alternative to
film, nor is adding grain, scratches in post...
and exactly what is it with this bottom line thing; greed, or simply
meanness?

tc breaks are a pain, but i've moved over to scenealyser for all my
capture - and have got optical detection working well enough to cope
with the really awful tapes (breaks and content!).

back to shivering
