just to be contrary, i have come across many 'paid professionals' whose
work wouldn't even rate outright amateur status. alternatively, i have
edited many videos produced by 'amateurs' that leave some serious
professionals work looking like kids playtime.
in my book 'professional' means acceptance by your peers as knowing
what you're doing...
