Then threaten to private message every bidder on his auctions detailing
what a shyster he is :o)
Ok maybe not but you should be clear to the seller that he has
absolutely no right to make you wait and see if he gets a refund from
the PO. You are entitled to a refund regardless of what the PO says as
he failed to deliver the item in the condition specified in his
auction. He failed to insure it, tough shit, he is too cheap to look
after his own interests, he gambled on the insurance and lost. You
should inform eBay that this seller is trying to delay your refund
until after the 30 day period.
Ahh fuck it, start a dispute resolution ticket now through eBay, the
guy sounds like a tight prick who knows nothing about consumer rights
and A; thinks he should never be out of pocket and B: That you are a
liar and broke the thing to get your money back. I wouldn't be
surprised if he gets compensation from the PO and still gives you
nothing.
