I am using a SG-2100 motorized HH mount and am having trouble with
tracking satellites greater than 20 degrees west and 10 degrees east.
Could anyone tell me if this could be the problem:
In the manual that came with the SG-2100 it tellls you to adjust the
dish declination to 30 - declination angle given in table, which
happens to be 5 degrees for my latitude of 30 degrees.
However, the online manual for the SG-2100 tells you to adjust the
dish declination to 40 - declination angle given in table, which
happens to be 5 degrees also. Anyone know which is correct,
30 or 40?
Since my longitude is 90 degrees, I'm using Nimiq 1 at 91 degrees west
to align the SOUTH refrence, and working from there. I can track as
far west as Echostar 6 & 8, but can't get 7 or 9. East I can track to
Nimiq 2 but can't get Echostar 4.
Anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Jim
