Mobile hard drives rarely have the room nor speed for reliable
capture. So this is NOT "bullshit." Personally I use a USB2 external
3.5" 300 gig drive and a Pinnacle 700USB to do captures on an IBM T23.
Iffy, but it gets the job done. Some high-end Macbooks are popular
for video capture and editing, as are the Intel Mac equivalents.
