A few years ago similiar sized HDTV's were in the $1,000 range. As
more companies switch to HDTV from current NTSC, more compeition in
the market will keep driving the price down. Check back in maybe one
year from now, they will probably seems cheap. But don't wait until
the last minute because I think there will be a rush to buy HDTV (or
HDTV to NTSC converter) when NTSC goes off air permantly.
