This is probabbly a recurrent topic here, but I couldn't find the right
information yet.
I have just bought a Sony Z1 and I am making a list of things to buy
for it. One of them should be a wide angle adaptor.
My short list is between the Century VS-06WA-HDS 0.6x and the Sony
VCL-HG0872 0.8x. Price is about the same, but none is perfect.
1) Century
_________
Good: Bayonet mount, short profile, not so large up front.
Bad: Seems to distort quite a lot, particularly on vertical lines and
when you pan or move camera, is not zoom-through
2) Sony
______
Good: Apparently designed for the FX1/Z1, distortion seems to be less,
is zoom through
Bad: Thread mount, thicker profile, larger up front.
Unfortunately, as I don't live in the USA I can not order both and
return the one I do not want. So I have to listen to people that used
one or the other or both.
Can anyone tell me your findings?
