Ouch - well if you need any help trying to sort things out, feel free to
drop me a line :-)
If you haven't found anything "strange" (popups, dire warnings, new
"favourites" you've never been to) going on with your system despite
going unprotected for so long, you're VERY lucky, but its time to stop
pushing your luck !

Sadly, there is rather a lot to take in, and its hard to know where to
start trying to advise people what they (probably) need and why, without
it becoming a blur that scares them into doing nothing at all :-}

That's because I suck at html :-}

Hope it can be of some use to you :-}
I'll make an offer I can't always promise to be able to deliver here,
but if any of the regulars get stuck, i've got a compilation CD I threw
together with all sorts of useful stuff (its basically my emergency
toolkit for rescuing knackered / infected / infested machines) - I can
drop a copy in the post :-} (or I might be able to arrange it via FTP at
a push)
I try to keep it current (give or take a few days) i.e. updates for
things like Spybot S&D and Avast are on there, as well as the latest
version of Sysclean and the virus signatures for it - and to bring
things back on topic, the newest versions of ripit4me and FixVTS :-)
....and the answer is yes, I have no life :-)
