No.
For a more considered reply , I can't get a hi-def display in the size I
want , for the price I want and with the image quality I want.
It's that that is holding me back more than the format war between players.
Once I can spend 500 on a 37-40" screen of sufficiently high quality and
resolution I will buy one and replace my perfectly good 32" CRT.
I won't buy before then unless the CRT explodes as I still think the image
quality on all but the most expensive flat panels isn't as good.
If I could get the flat panel I wanted I'd buy whichever games console I
preferred and use that to play hi-def films.
I have no intention of paying for sky HD. It's far too expensive just to
watch tv
