Ever since the auto detection routines used by Knoppix got so good I
have since quit installing Linux onto hard drives. The Knoppix
5.1.1-DVD release is the greatest Linux as it is a "Live CD" as they
are called, and the DVD is LOADED with hundreds of apps and games!
Quite a few news clients are on the disc, IIRC. One must save a
small "home file" or "myconfig" on their windows, or other HD to
retain setting, and set a new root password so that you can add users
and log in as other than root.
I am impressed with what that guy has done for the Linux community.
Best damned LiveCD out there.
