I currently have a LiteOn LVD2010, dvd player with RJ45 LAN wired or
wireless, that connects to media server software on my home pc, which, via a
built in tuner card, records tv (mpg2 ) and streams to the main tv
downstairs over a homeplug network. I also watch xvid US TV shows emuled
down, that stream perfectly well under this system.

I want to stop having to go up to my pc to set recordings, so figure my
options are either a new server solution, compatible with the LiteOn/XVID
etc that allows me to set recordings on my pc from the tv (unlikely), or a
new machine that does the two things my current one does (streams lots of
media, plays dvd's) plus handles the recording tv side of things locally
(HD, DVD)

Do you think I can find anything like that out there?
