Well, if you believe you're right, then all that others only need to do
is be "enlightened" to agree with you. I have in fact researched
copyright extensively-- not as a lawyer, but as a responsible citizen
who has done some creative work in music and video himself. I've read
extensively about actual court cases involving copyright. I'm
fascinated by the fact that many responsible individuals I know refuse
to beleive that it is legal, in Canada, to make a copy of a CD for
yourself. I want to know what they think copyright means, if they
refuse to exercise a right they are explicitly granted in law, or
believe tha they have that right.

You don't need to accuse someone of ignorance just because they disagree
with you. You pointed me back to a legal term I was already familiar
with and which was irrelevant to my point.
