to say so here as I've repeated many times in these discussions for a
decade;-))
I've been on this group since well before DV was launched. The subject
for discussion was all Beta SP, Hi8 and SVHS then. Good grief some of
the guys here were still on Umatics when I stumble happily onto rec.
video. As for the new fangled non linear editing, it'll never replace a
well set up multi machine Beta SP suite with a dozen processors, mixers
and correctors all joined up with component interfaces and RS422 control
protocols. The shear cost alone maintained standards and kept the
'riff-raff' out. Now I know how hard irony and satire can be for some of
us here so just to set the record straight this is supposed to be
humorous
