In my line of work? Yeah, $5k IS cheap. That $5k of hardware allowed us
to simulate a live configuration that would have easily cost us $100k in
hardware alone.

I use the term "box" to denote "computer", meaning an enclosure in which
you have your CPU, RAM, drives, power supply, etc.
