OK, second attempt, hopefully the PC won't lock up again...

I'm not in the top earners, so I haven't reached (or even come close
to) the $1000 mark. Some have done that several times over. The
bills I'm talking about are more like a phone bill here and there, but
those among the top earners could be making car payments or even
mortgage payments.

My videos at the moment aren't anything to rave about, as I haven't
put a lot of effort into what I've put on Revver. One use I had for
it was to do a vidcast for my participation in NaNoWriMo 2006, which
you can check out here:
http://www.just-stuart.com/blogs/vidcast_ranowrimo_2006.php
(That's all Revver-powered, despite being on my personal site.)

My kids have earned more than I have, you can check out their Revver-
hosted videos at:

Via PayPal, which I think is the only choice in countries where PayPal
works, but I think they have some back-up options for other countries.
This can be to a regular (basic) PayPal account, and even if you have
a business account the method of payment doesn't give a slice to
PayPal (not sure how that works, something about bulk payments I
guess).

There is a 30-day delay to verify ad revenue, and a minimum payout of
$20, which is paid out within the first week or so of calendar months.
For example, if my verified revenue at the end of March (from clicks
in or before February) was $25.50, then I could expect to see that
amount show up in my PayPal account in the first part of April.

Earnings are partly luck and partly skill. The luck aspect is that
you don't have control over the ads that Revver has available to show.
Sometimes they're lame, sometimes they're stale, sometimes they look
good and are fresh but it's not obvious they're clickable. Those all
lead to less revenue. Then again, good, fresh, obviously-clickable ads
can boost revenue, and that's all out of your hands.

The skill part comes in regarding your ability to create videos that
people will want to watch (and share with their friends), as well as
how effective you are at promoting your videos. Revver is positioning
itself as a back-end service that can video-enable other sites (e.g.,
Magnify.net sites, blogs, etc.), so it -- and you -- can be successful
without people even going to the Revver site. But that means you're
responsible for promoting your videos yourself, on your own site, via
P2P file sharing, sending links via email to your friends, or
whatever.

Anyway, that's my take on Revver, from a user's perspective.
