I agree with Richard. I travel with an old Sony TRV11 in addition to my
other production kit, which I sometimes use, when I need to put a camera in
'harm's way', that is down in a boiler, up a smoke stack, dropped by bungee
cord to simulate a person falling, under a train, etc. I also use the
camera to digitize through a laptop to an external hard drive in the evening
after wrapping. It works fine for that and saves head wear on my other
cameras.
