It is digital. The only "quality" issue with using the cheapest
DV camcorder as a "feeder" is whether it is in "interchange"
with the camcorder that recorded it. i.e. are both camcorder
tape decks adjusted so they will read each others' tapes.
Once you can reliably get the ones and zeroes off the tape,
they go directly into the computer file. There are no "quality"
issues involved there.
