I'm not sure what that means? Do you mean that they want to
keep the tapes on their premises? Are the tapes being "delivered"
from somewhere else? Why? From where?

There are likely lots of professionals (both free-lancers and
production companies) that could do it. Depends on whether
the cost is worth it for your project?

There are even likely well-equippped amateurs that could do it.
But you would need to identify and contact them. I would try
starting a new thread in r.v.p and r.v.d with a subject line like:
"Seeking assistance for field capture in DC area" or somesuch.
I would volunteer myself if you were in the Northwest.

3/4-inch (likely "U-Matic" et.al.) produced some very nice pictures
in its day. OTOH, if "1/2-inch" means VHS, then I'd certainly try to
have some TBC capability. You could possibly end up with nothing,
otherwise. And you don't know the condition of either the tapes or
the equipment.
