Did you miss the part where I said:
"Unless you are doing HD video"?
Note that you didn't mention doing HD video before.
We can't read your mind. If you want useful advice
it would be helpful to know the whole story.

If you need the speed/throughput for HDV, then use
RAID, but be aware of the risk, also.
