Times have changed, and I'm not saying necessarily for the better.
There are many people who, let's say, 15 years ago, wouldn't have
considered paying over $500 for a TV. Now they're shelling out
$1,000, $2,000 and much more for TVs plus stereos.
I can't figure out exactly what changed, but I too now own a TV more
expensive than I ever would have imagined paying for such an
unimportant item.
