Really? I've given the latest implementations of USB a lot of benefit
of the doubt-- because it used to be very, very unreliable.
Unfortunately, it's still flakey and unreliable, though better than it
was. One example: in order to get my computer to see my Minidisc, I
have to disconnect anything else using USB and reboot, sometimes twice.
This does not suprise me. I have also encountered problems with my
Palm, with digital cameras, and a mini voice recorder.
I think I've had one slight problem with firewire over ten years, and it
was easily solved. It is generally rock-solid and fast.
