Sony likes to use the touch screen mode of operation on its smaller
camcorders, but I would think that Canon or Panasonic would offer
something to your liking.
Have you checked the reviews at CamcorderInfo.com? In their reviews,
they usually focus on whether a particular model has manual controls
and whether those controls are implemented via real physical knobs,
sliders, etc. located on the body of the camcorder, or whether they're
implemented via a touch screen or via the menu system.
