It was in a store as my set is pre-1080p. I just couldn't see a
difference, others might. The store people swore they had a 1080p
source feeding it.

And review sources are also saying pretty much the same thing. If there
is a difference, it isn't much and most can't tell it. That said, if I
were buying a new big screen HD set, I would want 1080p as that would be
an indication of the latest technology offered by that company.
