I encountered this a week or two ago. I was playing the AVI using Power
DVD. The software offered me no options in the audio. I then loaded the
file into Media Player Classic with Satsuki decoder pack. Satsuki let
me choose between the film's original stereo soundtrack or the
commentary track.
I have not loaded that particular AVI into any of my standalone DVD
players so I don't know how they would handle a file carrying more than
one audio program.
