Thank you, your answer is very accurate. I always thought:
STOP + POWER OFF = STOP + STOP
Luckily, my recently owned Samsung DVD player could remember position
with STOP + POWER OFF. Otherwise, I would really miss this feature
from the old Panasonic one.
This makes me wonder why some DVD players even have an extra "Position
Memory" button on the remote just to do this.
