Hi. I have a Sony PDR-VX515 VCR/DVD recorder. I've never really had
any problems with it -- until today, that's is. It just keeps trying
to "load" the disc. You can't play it and you can't record onto it.
And worst of all, the DVD+RW disc in the DVD drive simply will not
eject. I can hear the disc spinning around in there *trying* to
load. But an eternity later, nothing happens. I've tried powering it
off for a while. I've tried unplugging it for several minutes. I
don't even see one of those tiny emergency eject holes anywhere on the
unit. I even started to "butter-knife" it. But, it was apparent right
away that the disc drive was not going to budge and I did not want to
force anything and make matters worse. Is there any way to get this
damn disc out of there -- other than taking it to a repair shop and
getting charged more than the stupid unit it worth?? Please help!
Thank you.
